Intersolar & ees Middle East 2025 successfully opened its door in Dubai, showcasing innovations in solar and energy storage.

Dubai, UAE – April 8, 2025 – Intersolar & ees Middle East 2025, the premier event for the solar and energy storage industries in the MENA region, commenced at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Part of Middle East Energy, the event brings together industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to explore the latest advancements in renewable energy technologies.

Middle East Energy and Intersolar & ees Middle East 2025 opened its doors on April 7 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), ushering in the largest and most ambitious edition in the event’s 49-year history. The global energy gathering is held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and is expected to host more than 40,000 global energy professionals, including more than 500 key buyers, to explore the innovations of 1,600 exhibitors from more than 90 countries. Sixteen halls, including 17 international pavilions, will be packed with solutions spanning the full energy value chain from power generation and storage to clean mobility and smart grid technologies. Intersolar & ees Middle East exhibitors are having their latest technology trends on display in Hall 6 and in the Pavilion Hall of DWTC.

His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al-Tayer, Vice Chairman Dubai Supreme Council of Energy opened Middle East Energy 2025, which runs for three days, and led the high-level plenary of the Middle East Energy Leadership Summit.

At the Intersolar & ees Conference in Pavilion Hall the opening session, titled "Opening with MENA PV Market Outlook," provided valuable insights into the Middle East and North Africa's renewable energy landscape. The session began with Dipak Sakaria, Energy Transition Expert at the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, delivered the opening speech, emphasizing the UAE's commitment to advancing renewable energy initiatives. Denisa Fainis, Secretary General of the Middle East Solar Industry Association (MESIA), presented a market outlook, highlighting the region's ambitious energy investment and diversification plans. Concluding the session, Sohan Gwalani, Research Analyst for MEA Renewables at Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables, discussed "MENA's PV Roadmap to 2034: Transforming Ambition into Reality," outlining the path for solar installations in the region.

Furthermore, the conference agenda includes sessions on energy storage, hydrogen, photovoltaics, and utility-scale solar projects. Notable speakers include Vegard Wiik Vollset of Rystad Energy, Hans Jürgen Sauter from Ideematec, and Maryam Nsaif of Free Energy, who will share insights on the latest trends and challenges in the reewable energy sector.
