Harvinder Pal Singh

Harvinder Singh is a renewable energy, infrastructure and investment professional with more than 15 years of experience across project development, investment, project finance, commercial structuring and portfolio management. He currently serves as Head of Finance and Investment at Emerge, a joint venture between Masdar and EDF, where he leads investment, financing and commercial workstreams for C&I solar and battery energy storage projects. His experience spans the full project lifecycle-from opportunity assessment and financial evaluation to investment approval, PPA/SPA, EPC and O&M negotiations, financing, execution and portfolio management.Prior to Emerge, Harvinder held senior roles with Gentari Renewable India, formerly Amplus Solar and part of PETRONAS, Tata Cleantech Capital and Yes Bank. Over his career, he has structured and raised financing for large renewable energy portfolios, including approximately USD 2 billion of construction financing and USD 500 million of greenfield project financing, and has worked on renewable energy M&A transactions across solar and wind assets. He was also recognized with the PETRONAS CEO Award for implementing a cost-effective financing solution for a 1 GW renewable energy portfolio. His work brings together investment strategy, bankability, risk allocation and stakeholder management, giving him a broad perspective on how renewable energy projects can be developed, financed and scaled successfully.
